Inishbofin Project 2024

In this project, I captured a series of images of the island using a 300mm lens, allowing for a detailed zoom that highlighted intricate textures and patterns within the landscape. Each shot was meticulously composed, ensuring that the various elements of the island were represented accurately and artistically.

Once the images were captured, I employed a sophisticated mathematical algorithm to merge them seamlessly. This process involved aligning the images based on common points and gradients, allowing the software to calculate the most effective way to combine the visual data. The result was a cohesive and striking representation of the island, where each element harmoniously intertwined with the others, creating a panoramic view that maintains depth and clarity.

This technique not only showcased the island’s natural beauty but also demonstrated the power of precision in digital photography and image processing, ultimately delivering an artwork that captivates and invites exploration.

Using Hugin you can assemble a mosaic of photographs into a complete immersive panorama, stitch any series of overlapping pictures
